Sports Injury Clinic: London

Sports injuries can happen to anyone - from enthusiastic amateurs to elite athletes. With over 25 years experience at the highest levels, our lead physiotherapist oversees a multi-disciplinary team, here to support you on your sports injury rehabilitation journey.

Our comprehensive range of treatments means we're confident that we'll get you back in the game quicker than a service using a single treatment approach.

The friendly and highly-professional team here at Movement Clinic includes physiotherapists, sports massage therapists, osteopaths, strength and conditioning coaches, Pilates trainers, and more. Talk to us today to find out how we can help.

Physiotherapy for sports injuries

We have a systematic approach to dealing with sports injuries with physiotherapy. We will consider your unique issue, the explore strengthening exercises, mobilisation techniques, pain relief strategies, and function skills development to help you work towards an enhanced level of performance.

We will use our expertise to put together a detailed rehabilitation process with personal goals - then monitor your progress as you work through your sessions.

Our sports injury services aren't just for use by professional athletes - whether your sporting injury has been picked up in the gym, playing sports in the park, or in professional competitions - we're confident our approach will take you back to your previous level of fitness and make you more resilient to injury moving forward.

Sports massage to treat a sports injury

If you play sports and you're suffering with a specific injury, our team has the elite-level knowledge and experience required to get you back in action as quickly as possible.

We often use soft tissue therapy and deep tissue friction massage to compliment physiotherapy or osteopath treatments. Combined, these approaches can be exceptionally effective.

The point of your pain isn't always where the issue lies - so we'll use a range of techniques to work with your muscles, ligaments, tendons and fascia to make sure any potential issues are dealt with and you're less susceptible to injury going forward.

Don't worry - a sports massage won't be a feat of endurance. We'll make sure we're always working within your pain tolerance through careful communication and active listening.

Osteopathy for sports injuries

Unfortunately, sporting injuries are almost inevitable if you workout or train frequently. Osteopathy will help you recover quickly - and will make sure you're as resilient as possible going forward.

We have a proven track record of working extremely effectively with sports people at all levels. We'll employ proven approaches to enhance joint mobility, relieve muscle tension and ease soft tissue restrictions.

Expert knowledge of the athletic musculoskeletal framework and a combination of touch, physical manipulation, stretching, and massage will significantly improve your recovery time and restore the structural balance you need to perform.

Personal training to prevent further injury

We know that the idea of a personal training session might be the last thing on your mind when you're suffering with a debilitating injury - but as you move along the road to recovery, that will change.

When it does, you'll have the option to work with our partner company, offering specialist one-to-one personal training sessions to bring you back to full fitness - or beyond. When your time with Movement Clinic is done, we'll have done everything we can to make sure you're more resilient going forward.

All personal training sessions organised through Movement Clinic will be carried out by a world-class personal trainer in a private studio setting here. You'll have access to your own dedicated equipment and the dedicated attention of your experienced trainer at all times.

The kinds of sports injuries we work with

There are very few injuries we're not equipped to deal with. Recent examples include:

  • Knee injuries

  • Rotator cuff injury

  • Achilles tendinitis

  • Heel pain

  • Tennis elbow

  • Shin splints

  • Plantar fasciitis

  • Jumper's knee

  • Golfer's elbow

Of course, there are injuries that require specialist exercise medicine intervention from sports physicians or surgical intervention from orthopaedic surgeons. Don't worry - this is rare - but if you do need more specialist sports medicine advice or treatment, we'll be able to talk you through what your next steps should be.

Accredited professionals in dedicated private treatment space

When you trust Movement Clinic to help you on the road to recovery, the professionals you're working with have experience and accreditation at the highest levels.

Our team includes:

  • Osteopaths - registered with both the General Osteopathic Council and The British Osteopathic Association.

  • Massage therapists – with knowledge and working experience at the highest level of professional sports.

  • Physiotherapists – each members of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and the Health & Care Professions Council.

What kind of treatment is right for you?

Don't worry if you're not 100% certain about the exact treatment type that's right for you. We don't expect you to come to Movement Clinic with detailed thoughts around how you'll get better - that's where our decades of sports injury experience comes into play.

There's no such thing as a one-size-fits-all approach to dealing with any specific injury - everyone is different, with different lives, activity levels, sporting commitments, eating plans, and much more.

We'll treat you like an individual, tailoring everything to suit your requirements and get you back to the level of fitness that you want.

What happens at a Movement Clinic sports injury consultation?

When you book a sports injury consultation here at Movement Clinic, we'll begin by finding a time that works around your diary. Our sports injury clinic is open before, during, and after standard working hours - and if that still doesn't fit - we have weekend appointments available too.

Your assessment will take place in our comfortable and well-equipped private treatment room. You'll be able to talk to one of our expert therapists and, in turn, you'll ask some questions and walk you through possible treatment and rehabilitation plans.

We'll usually be able to start your treatment in the same session - so it's worth wearing or bringing some comfortable sports clothing. Don't worry if you've come straight from the office though - you're welcome to use our private changing facilities.

I got injured pretty badly in my groin and lower back after a weekend of surfing. Regis was quick in finding the exact issue and helping me to recover with mobility and rehabilitating exercises. I was able to get back to exercise much faster than I expected. I highly recommend Regis!

I saw Regis at Movement Clinic for a bundle of appointments over my knee injury. I have been satisfied with the physiotherapy sessions and the speed of my recovery. The sessions were excellent. Regis is very knowledgeable and professional. He guided me through exercises to improve the stability and strength of my knee, corrected my posture, and gave me a preventative exercise plan to avoid injury reoccurring. I can strongly recommend this clinic.
